Plant Health Specialist

A Plant Health Specialist brings focused knowledge to the identification and management of pests, diseases and wider plant health concerns. This role helps gardens stay resilient by recognising signs of stress, infestation or infection early, then guiding the right response in a measured and informed way.

For clients, this offers confidence that potential issues are being taken seriously before they spread or cause lasting damage. From ornamental borders to mature shrubs, productive planting and sensitive specimens, this role supports a more vigilant and informed standard of care.

Their role

A Plant Health Specialist monitors the garden for signs of pest activity, disease pressure and environmental stress that may affect plant health. They assess symptoms, identify likely causes and help determine the most appropriate course of action based on the condition of the garden, the season and the wider growing environment.

This role supports both prevention and response. It helps the wider team act early, manage risk sensibly and protect the quality of the garden without overreacting or relying on routine treatment where a more considered approach is needed.
